Special Thanks To Everyone

As the first semester comes to a close and teams begin their conference play, most programs begin to get a little more comfortable as the second month of games arrives. At the same time, however, this is an important time period for all of your teams as things intensify and many conference rivalry games begin.

On behalf of all upperclassman managers, I just wanted to reach out to all new managers in the hopes that I can motivate you to keep your focus. As school ceases for a little bit, it is important to make sure that you are even more prepared for your basketball duties. Put full energy into your position and enjoy the ride; if you do, I'm telling you it will be one of the best rides of your life.

Stay focused and be an asset to your team. Understand your role and don't overstep those boundaries. Most importantly, refocus your team of managers. Go back over your goals and allow them all to understand the importance of living up to those expectations. Reinforcing this is a necessity.

This blog will continue to be updated and we hope that you can all continue to chime in a learn from the different managers who share their stories across the country. In addition, I would like to take the time to thank all of you followers out there for your continued support and your positive feedback; you are what has made this blog so successful today. I hope we have given you basketball fans a unique behind the scenes perspective of the dedicated "teams behind the teams" that make these programs run successfully.

Finally, on a side note I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get to where I am today, including Coach Luke Reilly (my high school basketball coach), the Marist coaching staff and managers (throughout my four years), the staff at the Maine Red Claws, Kyle Lyddy (founder of the NACBM), family and friends who have stayed loyal and understand the sacrifices I am making, my two loving parents, and anyone else I have meet along the journey.

Enjoy the ride, enjoy your break, and if you are able to get home and spend some time with your family over the Holiday - ENJOY IT!
