Lyddy Creates The National Assocation Of Collegiate Basketball Managers (NACBM)

Kyle Lyddy, who was a manager for the University of Connecticut Men's Basketball team between the years of 2005-2009, created the National Association of Collegiate Basketball Managers.

The formation of the association was to create a support system for Division I Men's Basketball Managers throughout the United States and to act as a networking platform for current and former members to be a part of.

The association hopes to gain recognition to the managerial position however most importantly to allow managers to work together and be successful. Although we feel it is important that the position remains a job that managers complete "behind the scenes", it is important that we use our platforms to raise awareness for issues important to all of us.

The NACBM currently has 275+ managers committed.

I have been extremely fortunate to get to know Kyle over the years and help him with this project, by serving as the Director of Collegiate Affairs and the Conference Rep. for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

What is the purpose of the NACBM?
  •  Bring managers together on issues within the game of basketball and to communicate on ways to be successful.
  • Use our platforms to create national initiatives such as building on the current Managers vs. Cancer project.
  • Understand our roles as managers and come up with ways to make our jobs more efficient.
  • Work together after graduation by creating a networking group with coaches, teams, leagues and organizations within the sports world.

To join please visit the official website of the NACBM at: http://www.nacbm.org
